It's been awhile

I know, I know...too long between posts. Life has run away with me.

Since my last post I have stop losing. I had my first fill.  And I have gone to very strange and ugly measures to try and fix my heel spurs.

So I am still down about 30 pounds. I have put some back on and that is how I knew it was time for a fill. Getting my first fill was the strangest thing I have done medically to date. I started my day with a liquid diet. When I got to the office I go back to the back waiting room. When I was called back I had to lay down on a flat table with my hands behind my head. Then I lift both legs up together while keeping a straight knee. (This causes all your core muscles to tighten.) While I am focused on holding my legs up the doc sticks a VERY long needle into my pot. Then I get off the table with the syringe still hanging out. I stand in front of the X-Ray machine. I drink the barium liquid and the doc injects the fill. And I kid you not; when he pulled out the needle it made a pop sound. OUCH. Anyway, it was a small fill and I don't even notice. I will be going back next week for a follow up fill.

As far as my heel spurs go, I bought some sexy foot braces to wear at night. They seem to be helping. I hope to have non painful feet soon and be able to walk more. I will try and attach a picture. It is worth a good laugh!
